Advisory Board

The

Executive

Council

exercises

responsibility

for

instructing

the

Advisory

Board

(the

Board)

on

matters

of

policy

to

be

taken

forward

subject

to

consultation

with

the

Advisory

Board,

which

provides

advice

to

the

Executive

Council

and

is

subject

to

consultation

with

Council

to

pursue

matters

of

policy

as

determined by the Council.

The Board appointed by the Council exercises responsibility for prosecuting and lobbying on issues at the highest levels of Government and the Army leadership. The Corporation does not have any involvement in the daily running of any of its member Associations. The responsibility for managing Association affairs, scholarships and trusts etc., remains with each relevant Association. 1) The Advisory Board shall be appointed by the Council and shall provide advice and guidance when sought by the Council. The Council will direct the Advisory Board's advocacy efforts through a process of consultation and consensus with regard to what deserves the attention of its members based on what is in the best interests of the Corporation. (2) The Advisory Board shall not exercise directive or managerial authority over the Council representing the Corporation. (3) The Advisory Board shall consist of a minimum of four (4) members including a Chairman and not more than seven (7) members as determined by the Council, in consultation with the Advisory Board.
